During the first quarter of 2026, the Cayapa Heroica National Plan, implemented through the Ministry of Popular Power for Science and Technology, has consolidated important advances in the recovery of the entity's scientific and health infrastructure, such as the reactivation of microscopes, dental units and spectrophotometers.

Through the technical work of Venezuelan specialists, strategic teams were activated in spaces such as the National Institute for Agricultural Research (INIA), the Los Cedros outpatient clinic and the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Los Andes (ULA), according to a press release from the ministerial portfolio.

These actions ensure the continuity of national agricultural research, strengthen university academic training and guarantee quality medical care for the people of Merida, demonstrating the capacity of local talent to overcome technical limitations and keep the country's vital infrastructure operational.

With these achievements, the Ministry for Science and Technology reaffirms its strategic role in scientific development, focusing on preventive and corrective maintenance of highly complex equipment.
