The head of Government of the Capital District, Nahum Fernández, reported that the 911 system remains activated for immediate attention to any emergency resulting from the earthquakes recorded yesterday in the country.

Fernández indicated that this June 25, a tour of the Ojos de Chávez urban planning took place, in the parish of Santa Rosalía, one of the most affected areas.

He explained that a comprehensive deployment was organized in Caracas with technical, security and community management equipment, articulated with the Peace Quadrants and the Communal Self-Government Rooms to serve 300 buildings reported by the population.

He explained that the Public Safety Agencies and a group of engineers established a plan divided into three phases. The first one deals with collapsed structures, under control from the time of the earthquake. The next phases include the inspection of buildings with partial damage and the installation of a command post in front of the urban planning, which will serve as a collection center for ambulances and service corporations.

The head of government called for serenity and highlighted the organized behavior of citizens: “We want to give peace and peace to our brothers and sisters from Caracas.”
