Nahum Fernández: Today Vietnam is the best example for Venezuela

This Tuesday, September 2, the vice-president of Mobilization and Events of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Nahum Fernández, stressed that the struggle that the people of Vietnam fought for their freedom, today is an example for our country and the peoples of the world, regarding the interventionist actions of the United States.

“Vietnam, we could say in our form of battle and struggle, is Venezuela's older sister (...) Today, companions, the best example for Venezuela is Vietnam, yesterday and today, even for the world, what happened in Vietnam, we know the sacrifice and the blood shed 80 years ago and for us the actions that were taken for this independence have been decisive,” he emphasized from Avenida de Bolívar in the city of Caracas.

He also described as “tenacious” the battle that Vietnam fought to achieve its independence and sovereignty with determination, in the face of the domination and war of the empire. At the same time, he highlighted the determination of Vietnamese leader Ho Chi Minh to give freedom to his people.

“This conflict was undoubtedly going to be complex, but regardless of any weapons condition, it carried a greater burden on the people of Vietnam, which was their self-determination to be free, which was their heart, which was their indomitable will to be able to defeat the foreign boot , the invader,” he said.
