National Assembly approves appointment of Arianny Viviana Seijo Noguera as Attorney General of the Republic

This Tuesday afternoon, the National Assembly approved the appointment of lawyer Arianny Viviana Seijo Noguera as Attorney General of the Republic.

During the regular session this Tuesday, the deputies considered the proposal of the President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, as a possible prosecutor after the resignation of the former prosecutor.

The president of the AN, Jorge Rodríguez explained that Seijo Noguera “is a lawyer from the Central University of Venezuela (UCV), she has had experience in private law firms and public bodies. And she currently serves as legal advisor to Petrleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) (...)”. She was also “external advisor to the Office of the Attorney General of the Republic, has law studies abroad, two master's degrees in the United Kingdom and a post-doctorate at the University of Westminster, in law school”.
