The national government registered 75% progress in the comprehensive recovery of the University Clinical Hospital of Caracas (HUC). In the framework of the institution's 70th anniversary, the president in charge Delcy Rodríguez delivered an innovative robotic operating room and the new Reconstructive Plastic Surgery Unit. The event was attended by the Minister for Health, Carlos Alvarado, and the Minister for University Education, Ana María Sanjuán.

“The University Clinical Hospital of Caracas, its academic community, its workers, its doctors, its students, becomes the pilot center of medical technology in Venezuela. Not only with robotics, but also with the incorporation of artificial intelligence, with a connectivity system that will allow, from the hospital itself, the management of medical records, the assignment of appointments and a model that we then intend to replicate in the rest of the country's hospitals,” he said.

This modernization process integrated artificial intelligence tools for the hospital's administrative and medical management. The national government and the UCV made progress in the recovery of the University Clinical Hospital, an achievement that the president in charge highlighted for her joint work with Minister Ana María Sanjuán. In this regard, he recognized the coordination with the university authorities, the sectoral vice-president Isabel Iturria and the director of the center, Dr. Luis Lira.
