With the objective of strengthening road safety and improving traffic in Las Tejerías, the Revolutionary Government, through the Mayor's Office of Santos Michelena, initiated the Road Demarcation Plan on the Pan-American Highway.

The initial phase included more than two linear kilometers of road, in the Las Praderas sector, however, it comprises more than 24 linear kilometers of the aforementioned road artery, divided into three sections, between the sectors of Guayas and Los Palmares.

“This Road Demarcation Plan shows that we are working tirelessly to return to Las Tejerías the image of order and progress it deserves. We will continue to advance section by section until we complete the 24 kilometers that connect our communities,” said the Secretary of the Second Transformation, Daniel Álvarez.

According to a press release, the work uses thermoplastic paint with high visibility and reflectivity, thus ensuring a durable and effective demarcation for both day and night traffic. “These works include the delimitation of traffic channels, central axes, road edges and pedestrian safety zones,” Álvarez explained.

It is worth noting that this plan is being developed with regard to the Second Transformation of the Homeland Plan: Human Cities, Public Services and Infrastructure, which continues to be promoted by the President (E) of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, in order to rehabilitate public spaces, based on collective well-being.
