National Government temporarily suspends public service in the Mukumbari Cable Car System in Mérida

The Venezuelan state cable car company (VENTEL), attached to the Ministry of Popular Power for Tourism, informed the general community and tourist service providers of the temporary suspension of commercial operations in the Mukumbarí Cable Car System (STM), located in the state of Mérida.
Through an official statement, the institution notified the pause of activities on the highest and longest cable car in the world, thanking in advance the receptivity and collaboration of regular users, as well as national and international tourists who visit the Andean entity.
“The community is informed of the temporary suspension of service to the public in the Mukumbari Cable Car System, in the state of Mérida. We appreciate your understanding”, reads part of the text released by the state company.
VENTEL urged citizens to keep an eye on authorized news channels to learn the details of the restart of operations in this important tourist attraction in the country.
