This Wednesday, February 28, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, instructed the Minister of Popular Power for Agricultural Production and Lands, Wilmar Castro Soteldo to “democratize access to credit for all producers”.

During a new day of Productive Wednesday, this time from the state of Lara, he insisted on “the need to move towards new legislative schemes that allow democratization and access to credit to all producers and entrepreneurs in the country for their economic activity, under conditions that they can access and pay.”

In that vein, he stated that “we must build a new efficient, transparent, but powerful State of wealth, that allows investment and becomes social prosperity, social welfare, an economy that works and generates goods and services”.

For his part, Minister Castro Soteldo reported that the agri-food sector “has experienced exponential growth that already exceeds one billion dollars in financing, only in the agricultural exchange.”

He said that the increase in the agri-food sector, “indicates an average mobilization per cycle that the agri-food sector has made of 3.1 billion dollars, an important figure.”
