National President: The people of Venezuela did not fail Chávez, have not failed him and will never fail him

On the 11th anniversary of the planting of the Eternal Commander, Hugo Chávez Frías, the Head of State, Nicolás Maduro, assured that “we can say that he did not plow in the sea, he sowed in conscience, in a pure, fertile mind and soul (...) Venezuela didn't fail Chávez, it hasn't failed him and it will never fail him.”

“I was by his side, always by his side with his beloved family. Because we assumed that their children were loyal through thick and thin. We were never prepared to receive the most moving mournful news that I remember in my life receiving when Doctor Castellano told us that he was gone, he flew,” he recalled.

President Maduro added that “we turned pain into love and that has been worth it and it is worth it to fight, to fight and to build victories for the people on all fronts of battle.”
