The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, assured that if all economic sanctions on Venezuela were lifted, the economic recovery would accelerate and strengthen, “so I'm sure there wouldn't be a single migrant.”

“The economy would accelerate and migrants would return to the country voluntarily. They are always welcome to their land, the land of grace,” he said.

He commented that this approach was made to the United States government, “I sent it to President Joe Biden to tell him, I don't know if they told him, if the agreements of Qatar and Barbados had been complied with, by the United States, I said it and I repeat it: if economic recovery is achieved, there would be no migrants.”

The statement was made by the head of state, commenting that 2024 was the best school year, because thousands of migrants have returned to the country, which has increased school enrollment.

“I congratulate Minister Héctor Rodríguez, a great colleague, who has managed to articulate together with schools, high schools and the Military Community Brigades for Education and Health (BRICOMILES), for the recovery of these educational centers,” he said in the 69th edition of his program “With Maduro+” .

He explained that by recovering these educational spaces “so beautiful and so large, the possibility of increasing enrollment opens up, and we have also been providing special conditions for them to rejoin, because many of the migrants have returned.”
