National Public Health System provided support to families affected by floods in the City of Nutrias

National Public Health System personnel were deployed in the Sosa municipality of Barinas state, specifically in the town of Ciudad de Nutrias, to provide comprehensive care to the population affected by recent floods.
The day, held in a temporary shelter, included the donation of clothing and footwear, benefiting 63 families. In addition, educational sessions on vector control were held, with the objective of preventing diseases such as dengue, Zika and chikungunya, as well as Venezuelan hemorrhagic fever.
The activity, according to a press release, also included specialized care in health dermatology and the recruitment of people with disabilities and pregnant women to ensure that they receive the necessary assistance. In total, 163 people were served in this initiative.
