National Surgical Plan advances in patient care in the state of Zulia

A total of 245 surgeries were performed by the staff of the Ministry of People 's Power for Health (MPPS) as part of the actions of the National Surgical Plan in the state of Zulia.

This is a work carried out in conjunction with the local government, which has allowed them to perform 137 general surgeries, 68 ophthalmic interventions, 18 pediatric surgeries, 17 gynecological procedures and five oncological interventions, details a press release.

For this purpose, seven healthcare centers were activated, such as the University Hospital of Maracaibo, the Dr. Raúl Leoni Maternal and Child Hospital (El Marite), the Dr. Adolfo Pons Hospital, Dr. Régulo Pachano Añez Hospital, all located in the Zulian capital; as well as the Juan de Dios Martínez Hospital, in the Sucre municipality; the Corito de Maracaibo Comprehensive Diagnostic Center and the Hugo Chávez CDI, in Santa Bárbara del Zulia.
