National Surgical Plan intervened on 16 children and 30 adults at Zulia Police Hospital

On a day held this Sunday, June 14 at the Dr. Régulo Pachano Añez Hospital of the Zulia State Police, the National Surgical Plan treated 46 cases, including 16 boys and girls and 30 adults.

In the case of pediatric surgery, minors come from the municipalities of Maracaibo, San Francisco, Guajira and Almirante Padilla; while adults are inhabitants of various localities in Zulia.

The deployment took place jointly between the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Health of the Government of Zulia, said the governor of the entity, Luis Caldera, who accompanied the day together with the first lady, Roselyn López de Caldera and health authorities in the region.

The patients, as reported by the Venezuelan News Agency (AVN), were treated for different pathologies and medical conditions, including umbilical, inguinal and testicular hernias. They had preoperative evaluation, medical tests, x-rays, all the supplies for the surgical process; they will also have their postoperative evaluation.

Governor Caldera highlighted the free of charge of the days carried out with the surgical plan in different regional health centers and the committed work of the health personnel whom he defines as the “heroes and heroines in white coats”.
