The National Surgical Plan, promoted by the National Public Health System (SPNS), performed more than 3,095 operations in Comprehensive Surgical Diagnostic Centers (CDI) and hospitals in the country during the month of August.
According to a press release from the Ministry of Health, the interventions carried out have been channeled largely through the 1×10 Good Governance system, available in the VenApp application. This mechanism allows the Venezuelan population to access health services more efficiently, ensuring timely and free care.
A team of highly specialized doctors and doctors from the Barrio Adentro Mission has successfully performed various surgeries, ranging from general procedures such as hernias, ventrations, lipomas and appendectomies, to more complex specialties such as gynecology (including caesarean sections and hysterectomies), ophthalmology (cataracts) and urology (prostatic hyperplasia). In addition, interventions have been performed in neurosurgery, oncological surgery and traumatology, demonstrating the system's capacity to treat a wide range of pathologies.
