A new public shooting occurred this Saturday afternoon in the United States, leaving five innocent people seriously injured. Members of the US security forces began the search for a 32-year-old man who is allegedly responsible for the action that took place in the city of Laurel.

The search for the suspect, who goes by the name Joseph A. Couch, is being carried out near the city of Lexington, a US news outlet reported. The defendant fled the scene aboard a blue Ford van with a silver roof, according to a report by local media outlet Lex 18 News, based on reports given by London city officials.

For unknown reasons, the assailant fired from an overpass at vehicles traveling on Interstate 75 in Kentucky, leaving five people injured who were taken to Saint Joseph's Hospital in London with head and facial injuries.
