Nicaragua Denounces U.S. Interference Through the National Foundation for Democracy

The Government of Nicaragua has denounced the interventionist actions against its sovereignty carried out by the United States (USA) through the National Foundation for Democracy (NED).

“Nicaragua condemns and rejects interventionist actions by the United States against sovereign countries,” said Foreign Minister Denis Moncada Colindres, adding that the NED seeks to destabilize governments to subject them to the “North American empire,” stating that Washington's hegemonic power is in decline.

It is important to point out that the NED is known for its long destabilizing record against sovereign states, which is why they attack with the image of a foundation those who oppose obeying orders from North American imperialism.

“Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran, Democratic Republic of Korea, Libya, Syria, Palestine, China, Russia, Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua, Bolivia, and other sister countries, have fought and continue to resist,” Moncada said.
