The President of Nicaragua, Daniel Ortega, expressed his support for the Governments of Honduras and Venezuela due to the imperial attacks that both nations have received

“We are with them, we are in solidarity with the Honduran people, we are in solidarity with the Government of Xiomara (Castro) and that there it is clear that they want to destroy that Government and they want to engulf the Honduran Army,” said the president.

With regard to the Bolivarian Government, he said that “the Venezuelan people want peace, they want to turn it into hell, simply to steal oil from Venezuela, the largest oil reserves are in Venezuela, that has been the practice of the imperialists and they have killed themselves between the same empires fighting over countries that were subject as colonies, simply fighting for wealth.”

According to what was published by the Sputnik news agency, Ortega took advantage of the presence of representatives of the Armed Forces of Mexico, Honduras, Cuba, China, Russia and Venezuela in his country, to call for Central American unity and peace in the region.

“We want peace, we want imperialist sanctions to be lifted,” he said.
