This Saturday, at the 7th Meeting of Ministers, Ministers and Senior Tourism Authorities of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America - Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP), Nicaragua's minister of tourism, Anasha Campbell, highlighted the need to diversify tourism markets in the face of economic and tariff aggressions affecting countries in the region.
Campbell stressed that tourism not only generates foreign exchange and jobs, but it also contributes to the fight against poverty, the empowerment of communities and the promotion of a culture of peace.
He also emphasized the impact of unilateral coercive measures on the sector, highlighting the importance of promoting authentic experiences for visitors.
He reiterated the need to consolidate the multi-destination model among the ALBA-TCP countries, allowing new markets to be attracted and intraregional tourism strengthened.
