Nicolás Maduro Guerra: With Carmen Meléndez we will continue to transform Caracas

This Tuesday, July 29, the head of the Caracas Campaign Command, Nicolás Maduro Guerra, reaffirmed the commitment of the re-elected mayor of the Libertador municipality of the Capital District, Carmen Meléndez, to continue working together with the People for the transformation of the city and to continue to guarantee the social welfare of all Caracas and Caracas.

“Carmen Meléndez changed the way she worked in Caracas, she changed the way she did politics, the way she built consensus around public policies or decisions. Everything has changed in Caracas and he is committed to continuing to change everything, that's why we won the mayor's office in Caracas,” he said during the proclamation ceremony.

He reaffirmed that along with the renewed municipal council, new tasks will come. At the same time, he emphasized that from now on the councilors, deputies for Caracas together with Meléndez and the People's Power, “let's work together to make the great transformations and the great changes that the city of Caracas deserves and is undergoing.”

He also recognized all the members of the Campaign Command who accompanied him in building this victory. “Here are those of us who kept our word, and to those people who came out to vote for Chavism we are going to give them a complete change so that they have the opportunities to move forward, which is the promise is the commitment and I know that we are going to achieve it,” he said.
