Nicolás Maduro: The Venezuelan people will never be anyone's slave or colony

“The Venezuelan people will never be slaves, but they will never be anyone's colony, because this people are prepared and ready to defend their independence and freedom,” said the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.

During the activation of the Independence Plan 200, he assured that Venezuela's destiny is peace, independence and the happiness of the people as a historic right.

At an event from the Caribia City urban planning in La Guaira, the President stressed that the defense plan activated this Thursday has 284 fronts of action for the comprehensive defense of the nation, active resistance and permanent offensive.

“Our goal is only one: Independence, freedom or nothing,” he stressed.

In this regard, the mayor of the capital city, Carmen Melendez, stressed that the people of Caracas are prepared, ready and willing to participate actively in the defense of our sovereignty and territorial integrity.

“Our people are preparing; the more pressure, the more preparation. We are ready for anything, don't you dare! Venezuela is respected, we have sworn that we will defend this sacred land in perfect unity!” , he emphasized.
