ODDI was activated in Bolívar state

From Operational Zone No. 62 for Integral Defense (ZODI), as part of Operation Independence 200: Active Resistance and Permanent Offensive, the Management Body for Integral Defense (ODDI) of the state of Bolívar was activated, in accordance with the guidelines of the Commander in Chief of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), Nicolás Maduro.

The Commander of the ZODI of Bolivar, Miguel Antonio Yilales Arteaga, stressed that the deployment constitutes a milestone in the defense of the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of the nation, principles that are non-negotiable.

He explained that this activation responds to the strategic objective of preventing the paralysis of the State in the face of imperialist threats, expressed through air campaigns and systematic actions of attrition, while noting that through the harmonious integration of popular, military and police forces, the following operational tasks were carried out:

Deconcentration of war material.
- Ensuring the integrity of public authorities.
- Preservation of the strength and resources of the FANB.
- Development of operations for the maintenance of internal order.
- Control and restoration of public order, under coordination with Public Security bodies.
- Activation of the Integral Aerospace Defense System, in coordination with the Integral Aerospace Defense Command, ensuring surveillance, airspace control and air defense.
- Coordination with the National Intelligence and Counterintelligence System for the detection and neutralization of enemy activities, both external and internal.
