Former grandleague Bob Kelly Abreu acquired 100% of the shares of the Guyana Mining team.
The announcement was made by the club through a statement published on its social networks.
“Abreu brings a renewed vision and an innovative approach to transform the way soccer is experienced in Ciudad Guayana,” the text notes.
He also emphasized that the new owner's commitment is to completely clean up the team by establishing a sustainable model that guarantees its permanence and success in the medium and long term.
He indicated that the goal is to turn Mineros de Guayana into a benchmark for stability, seriousness, and commitment within the national sport. “Abreu's sports approach and vision are focused on competitiveness and strengthening training categories, ensuring that our young talents have the necessary opportunities to develop and shine in sports.”
Abreu will be accompanied by Juan Fariña in the vice-presidency of Mineros.

Mineros de Guayana confirmed that they will once again participate in Venezuelan professional football and one of the members of the Futve 2 League in 2025.
