Oil price continues to rise after Trump's new statements on Iran

The price of oil rose considerably this Thursday after new statements by the President of the United States (USA), Donald Trump, about attacking Iran “extremely harshly” within two or three weeks.

The value of crude oil increased by more than 4% and Asian stocks fell this morning. For its part, the world's benchmark Brent rose 5% to $106.22 per barrel, while US WTI oil rose 4.2% to $104.36.

Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index led losses, down 1% at 10:15 local time (02:15 GMT), while the Shanghai and Shenzhen markets declined by 0.32% and 0.83%, respectively.

Sydney stock markets also fell, with a fall of -0.7%. In addition, reports indicate that gold fell 2%, with a value of $4,718.90 per ounce.
