In order to guide and strengthen the knowledge of the older adult sector in matters of national sovereignty, a workshop on geopolitics based on solidarity and peace diplomacy was held yesterday at the Casa de los Abuelos Rosa Inés Chávez, in Caracas, with the participation of more than 200 people connected from different parts of the country.
In a post on its Instagram account, the Ministry of Popular Power for Older Adults and Grandparents of the Homeland, points out that the day was led by the president of the Commission of Communes of the National Assembly (AN), deputy Blanca Eekhout, who addressed diplomatic law linked to sovereignty, peace and the defense of the truth of Venezuela before the international community and also incorporated the approach of the Seven Transformations (Q7), as part of the Venezuelan State's strategic agenda.
Eekhout highlighted that “this workshop valued the participation of men and women who lived through the phase prior to the Bolivarian Revolution and who today continue to be references for organization and resistance.”
For her part, the Minister of Popular Power for Older Adults, Magaly Viña, highlighted the scope of the meeting. “Here we are in the political and moral preparation of older adults in defense of the homeland; this sector maintains an active awareness of the Bolivarian legacy and the role it plays in the current phase of national transformation,” he explained.
The activity focused on the efforts of the Bolivarian Government to consolidate spaces for political and diplomatic formation, with an emphasis on defending the sovereign model and strengthening popular conscience.
Both authorities reiterated that comprehensive preparation is key to facing current challenges and preserving the dream of Latin American integration.
