Operation Sifontes 2025 of the FANB destroyed criminal camps in the Eastern Half Moon

The Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) offered this Sunday an assessment of Operation Sifontes 2025, which resulted in the destruction of camps used for illegal activities in the Eastern Crescent of Venezuela.
Admiral José Rafael Hernández Abchi, commander of the Maritime and Insular Strategic Integral Defense Region (REDI), explained that this action was carried out by the FANB with its naval combat forces and means, through the use of Rapid Reaction Units (URRA), under operational command of REDI number 7 Insular Maritime, “from the Atlantic coast in coordination on a geographical basis latitude 9º, 3 minutes 17 seconds north, longitude 60º, 14 minutes 46 seconds west, at the mouth of the Orinoco River”.
“We are deployed exercising sovereignty in our aquatic areas, carrying out maritime and river patrols in the more than 3500 navigable canyons (...) where we highlight the destruction of camps that serve as bases for illegal activities, providing cover to the Eastern Crescent, comprised between Boca Aragón, on the Paria Peninsula, the Sucre state and the Guayana Esequiba state,” he explained.
