The deputy to the National Assembly (AN) for the opposition, José Gregorio Correa, invited Venezuelans not to heed the calls for abstention and to turn massively to the country's voting centers.

“This is a process that strengthens democracy. You can't listen to the noise of not voting, voting is a country's need,” he said, stressing that abstention opens the door for “others to decide for you.”

In this regard, he expressed his confidence that the voters will come out to exercise their constitutional right since, in his opinion, “a song of abstention will never be favorable to Venezuela”.

In the same way, this legislator from the opposition bench congratulated the development of the Popular Consultation, since, according to him, this is a mechanism that stimulates the political and democratic participation of young people.
