Oppositor Ecarri: Abstention is a big scam, it's an act of cowardice

This Sunday, Antonio Ecarri, representative of the opposition Pencil Alliance party, said that “abstention is a big scam, it's an act of cowardice.”

The opponent assured that it is important to accept “today with great affection this electoral act, because unquestionably, beyond political colors, it is about leadership”.

“Abstention is a big scam, it's an act of cowardice that disguises itself as a strategy, an act of cowardice that seeks capitulation and wants to pay for it with local and community leaders in Venezuela, they don't deserve it because they have been defenders of democracy at the grassroots,” said Ecarri.

He assured that he does not understand those who call for abstention. “I ask Venezuelan society today to take care to support its local diligence, its mayors and councilors to choose those who have a direct impact on their quality of life.”

“I invite you to go out and vote, the rest is deception and fraud, I don't understand what it's like to give all power to those who exercise power to remove them from power, I don't understand those logics,” he added.
