The board of directors of Tigres de Aragua announced that Oswaldo Guillén will not repeat as manager of Eleven Aragüeña for the 2026-2027 season of the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League (LVBP)

Through a statement published on its social networks, the Tigres de Aragua organization expressed its gratitude to Oswaldo Guillén for his dedication, dedication and professionalism at the head of the team during his time as manager.

“To talk about Oswaldo Guillén is to refer to one of the most successful and influential careers in the history of Venezuelan and organized baseball, a source of pride for our country to become the first Latin American Manager to win a World Series in the major leagues, in addition to winning championships in the Caribbean and consolidating an impeccable career characterized by leadership, discipline and depth knowledge of the game,” the letter said.

He added that for the franchise, it has been a true honor to have his experience, guidance and unwavering commitment to developing the talent of our players every day.

They also wished him every success in his future professional and personal projects, “always leaving the doors of this club open”.

In Aragua, “Ozzie” finished the elimination round with a record of 28-28. He played the Wild Card Series against Caribes de Anzoátegui, but fell in the second game.

The Sports Management announced that it is already working on the hiring and official announcement of the new manager who will take over the reins of the Bengali team for the 2026-2027 season.
