Padrino López on the development of the electoral process: There have been no mishap in the country

Members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) are deployed throughout the national territory to ensure the continuity of this Sunday's electoral process without problems, said Defense Minister, G/J Vladimir Padrino López.

“We have taken every measure to ensure that the electoral process continues without problems. We have closed the borders, there have been no mishap, no incident anywhere in Venezuela,” said the senior military official in statements collected by Venezolana de Televisión.

In this regard, he highlighted the peace with which the day has passed, will allow the Venezuelan people to be able to claim victory at the end of the day, because the democracy that is established in our constitution is taking place. “The People want a luxury democracy that shines, that is in line with the principles of freedom and life enshrined in our constitution,” he said.

In the same way, he highlighted the pluralism of this electoral process in which political actors of different tendencies have had the opportunity to register and participate in this vote.

“This is an open process, which speaks volumes about our democracy,” he said.
