The Sectorial Vice President of Defense and National Sovereignty, Vladimir Padrino López, urged the civil and military authorities of the states of Zulia and Táchira to work in permanent coordination as a single block of action and planning.

“Both regions constitute Binational Zone No. 1, with a lively and historic border that has been the target of paramilitary groups favored by the oligarchic governments of Colombia. Today, the answer is overwhelming: peace, security and development for the people of Tachirense,” he said.

Padrino López emphasized that the defense of sovereignty is not limited to the military sphere, but involves all spheres of national power: political, economic, diplomatic and productive. “It is a comprehensive fight against any imperialist aggression, based on doctrine, planning and institutional cohesion,” he said.

As part of the Independence Plan 200, the beginning of a new phase of organization, characterization and training of the Bolivarian Militia was announced. Inspired by Asian doctrines such as the Protracted People's War, this force performs tactical guerrilla functions, local militia and support for regular units. “Tactical flexibility is key: each component acts according to the nature of the threat,” he explained.
