Parliaments of Venezuela and Azerbaijan agree to develop joint work agenda

The parliaments of Venezuela and Azerbaijan have agreed to develop a joint work agenda, the second vice-president of the National Assembly (AN), deputy Grecia Colmenares, reported this Friday, April 17, through her account on the social network Instagram.
Colmenares , who heads the AN delegation that participated in the V Conference of the Parliamentary Network of the Movement of Non-Aligned Countries (MNOAL), indicated that this agenda was agreed during the meeting he held with the president of the Azerbaijani Legislature, Sahiba Gafarova.
The meeting held in Istanbul, Türkiye, highlighted the cooperation between Azerbaijan and Venezuela in various international organizations, including the United Nations and the Movement of Non-Aligned Countries.
He also stressed that Venezuela supported all the initiatives promoted by the Azerbaijani government during its presidency of the Non-Aligned Movement.
The parliamentarian positively assessed the activities of the Parliamentary Network and stated that Venezuela is actively participating in its work.
For her part, Gafarova spoke about the institutional development of the Parliamentary Network of the Non-Aligned Movement, created at the initiative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, and the work done to achieve the organization's objectives.
