This Saturday, September 6, until 4:00 in the afternoon, elections for the election of spokespersons for the Peasant Councils are taking place in more than 18,000 rural communities throughout the country, as a step prior to the formation of the Ezequiel Zamora National Peasant Union.

The process is carried out in three stages that guarantee its transparency. First, the Promoting Commission convenes the inhabitants registered in the local census, in addition to assigning a place and time for the assembly. Then, every time after attendance, everyone exercises their right to vote in three consecutive moments, one for each commission: Organization and Training; Productive Economy; and Territorial Defense and National Sovereignty.

The election is made by voluntary application, secret ballot with ballots and public counting. A principal spokesperson and an alternate are elected by committee, and the results are formalized in two copies of the Scrutiny Record.
