The Venezuelan rider María Joaquina Sánchez, representative of the Aragua Lottery Team, once again demonstrated her talent and continues to raise the name of Venezuela in international cycling by winning third place in the V City Hall Trophy of Siero, Féminas, held in Pola de Siero, Asturias, Spain.

The competition, held this Sunday, brought together more than 200 runners belonging to 33 teams, consolidating itself as one of the most important events in the Spanish women's calendar, the Regional Sports Institute of Aragua (IRDA) detailed in a press release.

Sánchez closed a successful weekend of competitions after completing an outstanding performance in two demanding events. On Saturday, July 11, he participated in the León City Hall GP, valid for the Spanish Cup, where he covered a 50-kilometer route with a mountain pass and arrived on flat terrain, finishing in fourth position.

Later, on Sunday, July 12, he faced the challenge of the V Siero City Hall Trophy, a test carried out on a 19-kilometer circuit with three ring roads, a demanding mountain pass, technical descent and a spectacular finish on pavé, managing to climb to the podium with a meritorious third place.

The cyclist from Tachira is going through an extraordinary sporting moment, after recently winning the titles of the Vuelta a Barinas and the Vuelta al Táchira Femenina, results that confirm her growth and projection in national and international cycling.
