Pedro Infante highlighted the successful start of the basic consultation of the PSUV (+balance sheet)

The vice-president of the Organization of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Pedro Infante, highlighted this Sunday the successful start of the grassroots assemblies, with the deployment of more than 3,000 delegates with the red awning.

In telephone contact with Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), Infante stressed that these assemblies respond to the proposal made by President Nicolás Maduro as part of the Extraordinary Plenary of the PSUV Congress.

“Today, in the more than 47,000 communities, this debate began to carry on the discussion on three main issues. The first of these, which has to do with the Popular Government, the people who resolve, improve, expand the capacities to govern in each of the 5336 communal circuits,” he explained.

He pointed out that the second major issue is to strengthen popular democracy in the social sectors. “The president said 'let's rescue the constituent spirit' so that in all movements and social sectors the spirit, the effort, the will to work can be renewed to also expand the capacity for mobilization and action of each of the social movements and sectors and especially of the communes, of the popular power, of the communal force”.

Infante recalled that the third major theme, “which has been a central theme in the country this past week, has to do with preparing us for the transition of our people, of our capacities, of the party, of its structure, of social movements, of the entire people of the national union to move from unarmed struggle to armed struggle. Maximum preparation against maximum pressure”.

The leader of the PSUV announced that these meetings will continue in the coming days Monday and Tuesday. “We are also applying surveys, tools to give our people their opinion through the CC 200 application and we are collecting the conclusions, contributions, ideas given by our people, the delegates and delegates are deployed in the parish and municipal teams.”
