During the great closing of the campaign in Barquisimeto, Lara state, the vice-president of the Organization of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Pedro Infante, stressed that the revolutionary forces will come out next Sunday, July 27, to win a new great victory with the candidates of the Great Patriotic Pole (GPP) in the municipal elections.

“I want to ask you brothers and sisters that next Sunday they come out in perfect unity, with absolute clarity of victory, but these three days no one is a triumphalist, no one is staying in the house, mobilizing, kicking the street the hours we have left to build a great victory and activate the machinery to take Yanys Aguero to the mayor's office of the Iribarren municipality,” he said.

He stressed that Sunday's elections close a virtuous cycle, referring to the fact that it will be one year since the re-election of President Nicolás Maduro and a month and a half ago all of Venezuela elected its governors and now its mayors and councilors will be elected to close.

He reaffirmed the commitment of the candidates of the Homeland to work in perfect unity with the People's Power, “to build the happiness that our People deserve, to recover the state of social welfare that has been taken from the People and to recover all the economic capacities that translate into employment and better living conditions for the People”.

In addition, he recalled that President Maduro's instructions are that “mayors should be turned around like an average, that mayors should be put under the command of People's Power, with specific agendas of action, maps of dreams; it's less desk and more territory.”

In the same way, he emphasized that next July 27, young people also have a great commitment to vote in the Popular Consultation. “For the first time in history, our young people will receive direct funding to implement their projects, their ideas, their dreams; many of these projects have to do with sports, with culture, but many have to do with entrepreneurship because here there are young people who want to work, want to produce and stay in Venezuela, in the best country in the world. So on Sunday we have that commitment to mobilize our youth as well,” he said.

For his part, the GPP candidate for mayor of the Iribarren municipality, Yanys Aguero, reaffirmed his commitment to continue to guarantee peace and prosperity in the town. At the same time, he noted that he will continue to deepen Commander Hugo Chávez's project and to materialize President Maduro's Plan of the Seven Transformations.
