The Cayapa Heroica National Plan implemented technical approaches for inspection, preventive maintenance and repair of scientific equipment and hospital infrastructure in the states of Falcón and Carabobo.

During the day, Venezuelan engineers and technologists, who also belong to the Foundation for the Development of Science and Technology (Fundacite) in the above-mentioned entities, managed to reactivate six air conditioning systems and two laboratory centrifuges at the “Dr. José María Vargas” Maternal and Child Hospital (Carabobo), while repairing two power sources at the Works Quality Control Foundation (Geofalcón) and designed in 3D a fastening part for the laser rangefinder of the Venezuelan Institute for Scientific Research ( IVIC) from the UNEFM Biomedical Engineering Training Center (Falcón), an action that directly impacts medical operations and will benefit five specialists in the research area.

According to a press release, in the Falconian entity, corrective maintenance maneuvers at power sources made it possible to consolidate the operation of the Geofalcón Quality Control Laboratory.

In addition, the innovation applied in the modeling and 3D printing of the clamping part for the energy section of the IVIC demonstrated the capacity of national technical talent to solve high-precision requirements in strategic laboratories in the country.

For its part, the multidisciplinary team deployed in Carabobo carried out the comprehensive evaluation of eight air conditioning systems and two centrifuges at the “Dr. José María Vargas” Maternity Hospital. The total repair of these equipment immediately optimizes the operational capacity of the healthcare center, ensuring adequate environments and processed supplies to provide quality medical care to Venezuelan families.
