Plan Nacional Cayapa Heroica reactivated vital medical equipment in health centers in Mamporal

In order to guarantee free and quality medical care in the National Public Health System (SPNS), the Cayapa Heroica National Plan carried out two days of diagnosis, revision, maintenance and reactivation of vital medical equipment at the Cirila Vegas Maternity Hospital and at the Mamporal Comprehensive Diagnostic Center (CDI), located in the Eulalia Buroz municipality of Miranda state.

This technical deployment included the coordinated participation of specialists and engineers from the National Center Foundation for Development and Research in Telecommunications (CENDIT) and the Institute of Engineering Foundation for Research and Technological Development (FIIIDT), together with the collaboration of the technical staff of the Ana Francisca Pérez de León Hospital.

According to a press release from the Ministry of Science and Technology, during the technical work, the brigade members, together with community health spokespersons, recovered X-ray equipment located in the Cirila Vega Maternity Hospital, which had been inoperative for more than 12 years.

During the intervention in this maternal and child center, the brigade managed to repair and set up neonatal incubators, a fetal monitor and an electric secretion aspirator, essential tools for the safe medical care of pregnant women and newborns in the area.

The director of Maternity, Dr. Roxana Cedrola, reported that this hospital serves a population of approximately 39,000 inhabitants, providing assistance in obstetrics, gynecology, pediatrics, X-rays, ultrasound, nebulization and emergency services. “We always try to provide quality service to everyone who comes,” he guaranteed.

At the same time, at the Mamporal Comprehensive Diagnostic Center (CDI), technical maneuvers made it possible to reactivate X-ray equipment, an electrocardiograph, ultrasound machines and autoclaves. Due to the complexity of some devices and the volume of equipment inspected, the brigade immediately agreed to a second approach to finalize the restoration of pending equipment.
