From the municipality of Sucre, in the Portuguese state, the first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, denounced this Thursday that North American imperialism “has no word, never does what it says and also always lies”.
In that regard, he recalled that the Government of the United States had committed itself to Venezuela to lifting sanctions after the announcement of the electoral date and schedule, “and imperialism has done just the opposite.”
In addition, he pointed out the impudence of the United States, which has openly said that the opposition Edmundo González is its candidate. “You have a candidate who defends sanctions, who asks for more blockade against Venezuela, you have a candidate who insults Venezuelan women, you have a candidate who doesn't like blacks, a candidate who doesn't want the Afro-descendant population, who doesn't want our native indigenous peoples,” he said.
For this reason, he stressed that if the candidate does not want our original peoples, he does not want this people, because we, all of us, “have black and Indian roots in our blood (...) Do you know then what his proposal is? Their proposal is exclusion, persecution and continuing to call for sanctions and blockades.”
