Preliminary draft of the Oil Palm Act presented to the AN

Members of the Federation of Palm Growers of Venezuela (Fevepalma) presented to the National Assembly (AN) the draft of the Oil Palm Law, to promote sustainable development in the state of Zulia, the main producer of this sector.

It became known that the initiative is the result of a process of consultations and debates with the production bases that respond to current challenges, to growth opportunities in the oil and livestock sector.

The draft bill is structured around four strategic axes that will guarantee the stability and growth of the agro-industry for palm trees in this area of vital importance to the country.

The law defines the protection of producers, extraction and the national policy that involves the better development of agri-food for the Venezuelan State.
