President Díaz-Canel: Cuba will always be present at ALBA-TCP

The president of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, assured that his country “will always be present in the ALBA-TCP.”

During the installation of the XXIII Summit of the said alliance, he stressed that “over and above the difficulties imposed by empires and mercilessly imposed by the current international order, profoundly unfair and exclusive, our Alliance has proven how and how much can be done from the South”.

He denounced the genocide being carried out against Palestine. “It's a Zionist escalation of the last six months, violations of International Humanitarian Law and genocide. Faced with these events that outrage us, today we denounce”.

He also congratulated the “Venezuelan people” for the development of the new electoral process in a climate of peace and in accordance with their constitution. It has been achieved despite the attempts of factors to resume violence (...) we are not talking about old plans but current ones”.

In this regard, he ratified his rejection of “external interferences and impositions that affect the functioning of Venezuelans' decisions, with the application of Unilateral Coercive Measures and we demand that they be lifted in their entirety.”
