This Thursday, the president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, arrived at Maurice Bishop International Airport in Saint George, capital of Grenada, as part of her first Official State Visit after her swearing in on January 5 of this year.

Upon her arrival, the President in Charge was received with honors by the authorities of the Government of Granada, and in this way reaffirm the bonds of brotherhood and respect that unite both Caribbean nations.

This visit is part of the Bolivarian Diplomacy of Peace maintained by the Bolivarian Government of Venezuela, whose objective is to deepen strategic integration with the peoples of the Caribbean. During the meeting with the authorities of the Government of Grenada, the aim is to give continuity to the fruitful Roadmap that was signed in April 2025, during the visit of the Prime Minister, Dickon Mitchell to the city of Caracas.

In this regard, it is important to note that diplomatic relations between the two nations, formally established in 1977, have undergone a process of acceleration and mutual trust in recent decades.

It should be noted that the President in Charge has a close link with the Nation of Granada; since in April 2024, in her role as Executive Vice President, she accompanied the people of Grenada in the commemorative events for the 50th anniversary of their Independence.

Therefore, this visit as President in Charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela is carried out with the purpose of consolidating comprehensive cooperation under the “win-win” model, thus ratifying Venezuela's commitment to building relationships of respect that result in tangible benefits for the quality of life of both peoples.
