The President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, within the framework of policies to strengthen the national productive system, led a working day dedicated to the promotion of the communal economy in the country's coffee sector.

The activity, designed to deepen the transfer of direct management to the organized people, with a special focus on the states of Portuguesa and Lara, strategic regions that account for 84% of the national production in this sector. During the meeting, ministerial authorities and community spokespersons from more than 100 socio-productive organizations participated, who will converge to consolidate the productive chain and sustainable development from the territories.

Based on a technical inspection of the processing and roasting capacities of the “El Cafetal” Direct Social Property Company, located in the Ospino municipality of the Portuguese state, a management model that seeks to enhance both the supply of the domestic market and the projection of domestic production to international markets.

With this initiative, the Bolivarian Government reaffirms its commitment to building a sovereign economy, aimed at permanently overcoming the limitations imposed by the blockades and at guaranteeing the social welfare of the Venezuelan people through communal productive efforts.

The communal coffee plan reached a historic harvest of more than three million quintals, the result of the work of 69,000 producing families across the country.

Thanks to the direct transfer of resources and means of production, it is a resounding success and a reference model for the 2026 agri-food plan, the authorities of the Ministry of Communes published on their social accounts, where they released a video testimonial of this productive capacity.
