President (E) Delcy Rodríguez presents an assessment of the Amnesty process and releases

The president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, leads this Friday a meeting with senior national authorities to present the balance of the Amnesty and Release process in the country.
The meeting, which is being held at the Miraflores Palace, is attended by the president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez; the president of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ), Caryslia Beatriz Rodríguez; the sectoral vice-president of Politics, Public Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón; among other authorities.
The Amnesty and Democratic Coexistence Act was enacted on February 19, 2026, with the objective of consolidating reconciliation and social peace in the country, as well as creating conditions for plural political participation and encouraging the civil reintegration of those convicted or convicted for political reasons.
Recently, the President of the Parliament reported that 300 additional people are expected to be gradually released by mid-May, based on criteria of age, health or humanitarian reasons, including agents of the extinct Metropolitan Police and detainees linked to the oil sector, according to the Presidential Press on its website.
