President (E) highlights formation of Comprehensive Care Brigades for Grandparents and Grandmothers

The President in Charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, reported that this Saturday the formation of the Comprehensive Care Brigades for Grandparents and Grandmothers was completed, with the purpose of providing care to the elderly population in the country.

“Today, the Comprehensive Care Brigades for Grandparents and Grandmothers were formed all over the country; men and women who, with great commitment and love, will travel house to house to attend to, listen to and accompany those who have given everything for Venezuela and our families. Maximum protection and care for our elderly, the essence and living memory of the nation!” , wrote the president in her account on the social network Telegram.

These brigades will be composed of volunteers registered with the Great Venezuela Youth Mission, community doctors, specialists from the National Institute of Nutrition (INN), mother cooks and community councils. Its function will be to systematize, in each commune and community council, the health needs of grandparents, as well as to promote physical activity, nutrition, the provision of technical aids, support and inclusion in recreational activities.
