This Sunday, June 7, the president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, arrived in the city of Istanbul, Türkiye, as part of the continuation of her international work agenda aimed at strengthening cooperation relations with allied countries.
Upon arrival, she was greeted by the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Türkiye, as well as by the Deputy Governor of Istanbul, Mustafa Asım Aykan, and the Deputy Metropolitan Mayor of that city, who welcomed her on behalf of the Turkish authorities.
The Venezuelan president was also received by members of the diplomatic corps accredited in Türkiye and by representatives of the Venezuelan Embassy in that nation, in an act that reaffirms the existing ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
Rodríguez was accompanied by a delegation from the National Executive composed of the sectoral vice-president of Science, Technology, Education and Health, Isabel Iturria; the Chancellor of the Republic, Yván Gil; the Minister for Tourism, Daniella Cabello; the Minister of Foreign Trade, Johan Álvarez; the Minister for Science and Technology, Gabriela Jiménez; the Minister of Transport, Jacqueline Fanía; the Minister of the Office of the Presidency, Juan Escalona; and the sector vice-president of Communication and Culture, Miguel Ángel Pérez Pirela.
The visit to Türkiye comes after the culmination of a work agenda in the Republic of India, where the president in charge held meetings with government authorities and representatives of different sectors to strengthen bilateral cooperation. Now, in Turkish territory, it will continue to hold meetings and activities aimed at deepening strategic relations between Caracas and Ankara.
