President (E) Rodríguez holds high-level meeting with Essar group in India

This Saturday, the president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, during her visit to India, held a high-level meeting with representatives of the ESSAR group, one of the leading multinational conglomerates in the Asian nation. The meeting took place in the city of Mumbai and was attended by local authorities, including the Minister of Foreign Direct Investment of the Maharashtra government, Jai Kumar.

The meeting was held with the focus of promoting strategic investments aimed at strengthening the Venezuelan industrial apparatus, with the purpose of developing the massive use of renewable energy as a fundamental axis for optimizing the efficiency of Venezuela's National Electricity System (SEN).

During the visit of the president in charge, the proposal to incorporate wind generation technologies, solar energy technology and biomass systems capable of diversifying the Venezuelan energy matrix was present, which strengthens the SEN.

The meeting was attended by managers of the Asian consortium, including Anshuman Ruia, director of the Essar group; R.K. Singh, executive director of Essar Oil India, and Amit Bajaj, general manager and head of corporate affairs. On behalf of the Venezuelan delegation, the Deputy Minister of Geopolitics of the Ministry of the People's Power of Hydrocarbons, Eduardo Ramírez, and the Deputy Minister for Asia, the Middle East and Oceania of the Ministry of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Andrea Corao, participated.

This working day is part of the official agenda developed by the president (e) in India, aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation, diversifying economic alliances and exploring new opportunities for technological and commercial exchange between both nations. The visit underlines the mutual interest in energy security and the consolidation of industrial infrastructure projects in the context of a strategic relationship that continues to expand.
