The President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, ratified her commitment to advance a joint agenda of cooperation in strategic areas, in favor of shared development, complementarity and mutual benefit of the peoples of Venezuela and Suriname.

Through his Telegram channel, Rodríguez highlighted it as an honor to receive the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Suriname, Melvin Bouva, during a cordial working meeting aimed at continuing to strengthen bilateral relations between the two nations.

“We ratify the commitment to advance a joint agenda of cooperation in strategic areas, in favor of shared development, complementarity and mutual benefit of our peoples,” he said.

Venezuela and Suriname have maintained diplomatic relations since 1975 and are currently going through a period of strategic relaunch and intense bilateral cooperation focused on regional integration.
