President Rodríguez: Venezuela aspires to rebuild and sustain relations of cooperation, respect and equality

From New York, United States (USA), this Wednesday, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, expressed the commitment of the National Government to the reconstruction of cooperative relations with the countries of the world.

“Venezuela aspires with the United States, with its neighbors, with all the countries of our continent and the international community, to rebuild and sustain relations of cooperation, respect and equality,” said the president during her speech at the high-level segment of the 81st session of the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN).

In this regard, he thanked the President of the United States, Donald Trump, “for his willingness to resume the path of diplomatic relations and cooperation with Venezuela”, recalling that the last time that two presidents of the two countries met was in 2009.

“Today we are working seriously to resolve existing differences through dialogue, but mainly to pave the way for energy relations, the promotion of security, the common fight against transnational crime and economic cooperation for the benefit of both peoples and our continent,” he said.
