President Rodríguez at the UN: Sanctions undermine economic and financial freedoms and slow down human development

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, highlighted the fundamental importance of implementing inclusive development accompanied by social justice to alleviate poverty.

In this regard, he warned that economic and financial sanctions undermine freedoms and directly delay human development.

He also emphasized that respect for the rights of nature constitutes the only possible way for the consecration of human life.

“The institutional failure of global trade is evident, because no nation can prosper under supranational schemes that do not promote domestic industry,” he said.
