The president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, visited the town of La Vela de Coro, in the state of Falcón, continuing the “Great Pilgrimage United for a Venezuela without Sanctions and in Peace”, where she ratified several works for the tourist and social promotion of this community.

“I have asked the Minister of Popular Power for Youth, Sergio Lotartaro and the Minister for Tourism, Daniella Cabello, for entrepreneurial plans for the young people of Los Medanos de Coro that involve entrepreneurs from the area, with respect for nature but who also allow us to enjoy our tourist spaces,” stressed the president in charge.

He also announced the appointment of a commission of the National Government to rehabilitate the port of Amuaco to reactivate trade and connection with the Caribbean islands, especially with the Dutch islands.

“It is a priority point and I have let the ministers know that they should immediately engage in this task and tell the Minister for Public Works to proceed with the rehabilitation of Paseo Francisco de Miranda as well as the completion of the Underwater Pipeline for the Coro Peninsula,” said the president (E).

This Great Pilgrimage, which began last Sunday, April 19, coincided with the 216 years of the first cry of independence, and began in the state of Zulia with the blessing of Our Lady of Chiquinquirá.

The arrival of this mobilization in the Falconian capital, a World Heritage Site by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and land of the Afro-descendant leader José Leonardo Chirino, marks a milestone in the Western Route, which seeks to unify the popular clamor for the definitive lifting of unilateral coercive measures affecting the country's development,” he said.

He reiterated that the lifting of sanctions is an absolute necessity for the Nation to pursue its productive development; and in this way, the recovered resources will be allocated directly to schools, hospitals, electrical infrastructure, water and benefits for the working class.
